Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use points when booking hotels and airfare?
We are unable to use your points for hotel or airline bookings. However, we can add Frequent Flier numbers to your airlines reservations to ensure you are gaining points for your reservations.
2. My hotels are booked. Can you plan experiences and logistics?
In order to provide a seamless travel experience, we require hotels be booked within your Avandra Travels itinerary. However, there are some cases where we understand extenuating circumstances; perhaps you are attending a wedding in Spain and are booking into their wedding block for 3 days but want to continue traveling. Let us know if situations like this arise so we can discuss from the beginning of your trip planning process.
3. Do you make dinner and spa reservations?
Yes, as full-service agency, we arrange all meal and spa reservations throughout your itinerary. The exception is if you are utilizing our complimentary hotel booking service. In that case, we happily connect you with the onsite concierge team for assistance.
4. Do you book villas or rental homes?
Yes, we have access to a global portfolio of villas, apartments and rental homes. However, we do not work with Airbnb or Vrbo.
5. Can you assist with my international flights?
Yes, we can assist with first class and business class seats on international flights.
6. How is my final itinerary delivered?
Approximately 2 weeks prior to your departure, you will receive an email containing both a PDF itinerary, as well as access to our mobile itinerary app. Via this app, you can easily read your itinerary while on the go.
7. How do you communicate with clients throughout the planning process?
Each trip begins with a complimentary consultation call to discuss your trip parameters and vision. After the consultation call, we communicate with you every step of the way. Given that we operate our business all over the globe, our preferred communication method moving forward is email, however, we are happy to schedule calls as needed throughout the process.
8. What if I need to cancel my trip?
Cancellation penalties vary depending on which suppliers are involved in your trip and when you cancel. Cancellation policies will be communicated on your proposal before deposits are paid or reservations are made.
9. Do you recommend travel insurance?
Travel insurance is highly recommended. A quote will be provided once final trip price is determined. We are not sellers of insurance. Instead, we partner with insurance providers out of convenience for our clients. Travel insurance may provide coverage for cancellation for specifically defined reasons, as well as coverage for medical expenses, travel delays, baggage loss, etc.
10. Do you book weddings or groups?
While we can't plan your wedding or corporate event, we are able to assist with your room blocks and group travel logistics. Pending your group, our fees may differ from our standard daily rate.
